Roqyah

Seeking refuge against all the bad with the Mu'awidatayn

To seek refuge against all the bad with the Mu'awidatayn (surah Al-Falaq and Surah Al-Nass):

It has been reported that Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was accustomed to resort to Allah against the jinn and the eyes of the people (evil eye) until the Mu'awidatayn (su.rah al-falaq and surah al-nass) was revealed, when they were revealed he started to them

reciting and stopped reciting anything else (to take refuge against the evil eye)
(saheeh al-tirmidhi 2058)

Imam Al-Nawawi said about surah Al-Falaq and Al-Nass:
And in this hadith it is proof that it is recommended to do roqyah with the Quran and adhkaar, for indeed he (the Prophet) did roqyah with the mu'awidatayn (surah al-falaq and al-nass) because they are a collection are for seeking refuge (with ALLAH) against all bad things in general and in specific cases, because it contains seeking refuge against all the bad things that have been created (minn sarri ma galak), and therein is everything (which is bad) ), and against the bad of those who blow knots (wa minn sarri annaffathati fil 3uqad), and against all kinds of sihr, and against the wickedness of the abusers (haasidien), and against shaytan who causes washing haze (wa minn sarri al- waswaasi al-gannaasi, Wa Allahu A3lam.
